The American War Experience - Gulf War Collection contains digital objects (documents, images, audio, video) related to the conflict in the Persian Gulf that was fought between coalition forces, comprised of 34 countries, and Iraq, from August 2, 1990 to the end of February 1991. The conflict includes Operation Desert Shield, which refers to the buildup of troops in the region, and Operation Desert Storm, which refers to the combat phase of the war.
